Awkward situations

Most of us find many situations awkward whether it is falling down in public or missing a train after you have just reached the platform. Awkward situations may differ from people to people but most will agree that they find the following ones as awkward.

  • When a young man is asked by a young woman to stand up in a bus because he’s sitting on a ladies seat.
  • When you stammer while addressing a group of people.
  • When you are in a party and you don’t know anyone other than the host.
  • When you are confident and pretentious about winning but you end up on the loosing side.
  • When you plan a surprise for “someone” and the “someone” already knows the plan.
  • When you plan to eat in a public place like a train or bus and all eyes are fixed on you.
  • When you are eating pani puri on the road and a beggar ask for one.
  • When people ask you when are you getting married, when they very well know you have been single for long and are not seeing anyone.
  • When you are alone with the guest at your home and you want to visit he washroom badly.
  • When you fall from a broken chair.
  • When everyone knows you are giving an exam and you end up not clearing it.
  • When you go for a party and your beautician overdoes your makeup.
  • When you are attending a funeral and don’t know what to say.
  • When you realize others are staring at you because you are wearing different pair of hearings or shoes.
  • When you have worn your clothes Backside up.
  • When you are in a meeting and you fart.
  • When you have just been married for a month and your relatives keep asking you if you expecting.
  • When you make a hefty bill in a hotel without realizing you have forgotten your wallet.
  • When because of your compulsive nature touch a showpiece in a showroom and break it without considering the notice “Please do not touch”.
  • When you are eating in a 5 star joint struggling to eat a tandoori leg with a knife and fork.
  • When some ask to take care of their things and you end up loosing it.

These are just few. I am sure there are many more.

IPL Dhamal

The Indian premiere league has created much of its waves in South Africa. When I first heard that it would be held in SA I was happy by the fact that I would get a chance to watch it but at the same time I had a thought running that it would not work here .But to my surprise it’s a big hit. The stadiums are packed by South Africans and it’s difficult to get the tickets. The first day tickets were sold in just 1 and half hour. Yesterday we some how managed to get the ticket for the t2o match between Rajasthan royals vs. Delhi dare devils at Centurion in Pretoria. The stadium was 75 % packed [considering the fact that it was a working day] with everybody in colors of red and blue supporting the 2 teams. The stadium full of Indian and English music and lightning and cracker all the way. What surprised me was how well South Africans had willing accepted the Indian première league and were taking active participation. South Africans love their sports.
Even though the score set up by Shewags team was quite ordinary 143, Rajasthan royals was struggling all the way until our heroic Yusuf Pathan stepped in and turned the whole match around. His impressive 6 sixes with breath taking. It led Rajasthan Royals to victory.
Thanks to lalit modi for giving all of us a big cricketing event like IPL.

SHAME- INDIA TV

In one of the worst form of cheap sensational journalism India TV published misleading forged photograph of our syedna Dr Mohammed Burhannuddin [TUS] performing the nikah of the world most wanted man Baitullah Messud on 6th April 2oo9. What does a leader of peace and harmony have to do with a bloody terrorist? It’s sad that media channels in order to increase their TRPs publish false news without verifying them. India TV which is famous for it cheap sensational journalism realizing their mistake published a 7 minute apology on 7th April 2oo9. But how can a 7 minute apology undo the harm that has already been done. My blood boils to see how these TV channels manipulate information and present it to naïve public. Where is the responsibility of the press? These fake new have not only harmed the reputation of the messiah of peace but have also hurt the sentiments of one of the most peaceful community in the world the Dawoodi Bohra. India TV should be ashamed of their despicable journalism.

Democracy is all about Tolerance and Acceptance.

Democracy is all about integration and unity among people. Tolerance has played an important role in sustaining Indian Democracy. There is no room for hatred in our country. We have more pressing issues to deal with than dividing our country on communal lines. We need leaders who can spread peace and unite our country rather than spread communal hatred. When people don’t get valid issues to fight elections they play the card of communal hatred. We cannot see more violence than what we have already witnessed. There is a need for drastic change. Change in the minds of people. Change among our leaders. Change in the way we all perceive each other. We need to create love and acceptance for each other in order to survive happily. We need to shed our prejudices for our country to progress and more over we all need to take part in the democratic process.i.e we need to cast our vote

Happy Valentine Day

Dear Ladoo,

You are my knight in shinning armour,
You are the sweet fragrance of a beautiful flower,
You are the white rays from the moon light,
As you bring more meaning to my life

I adore your charming patience,
Your electrifying smile and your caring attention.
You attract me with your obliging humbleness and modest nature
Making me mesmerized with your enduring stature.

You bring joy and glory to my existence,
You are my cupid of happiness and love.
You make my every moment special and dear.
I want nothing but my love you to be near.

You make me laugh when my eyes want to cry,
You make my heart beat skip with every touch,
Your warm kiss flows all my sorrow,
And makes me look at our bright future tomorrow.

Thank you for loving me so much.

Happy Valentine’s Day

A last letter from a friend

This letter was from a special friend who is lost since past one and a half year. She gave this before she was returning to her home town Kerela after finishing our Master’s.

Dear Umme,
Nobody promised that life’s going to be a bed of roses….It goes beyond petty differences, small conflicts, big fights and bigger fights………………..
The challenge is to rise above them, deal with them and put them behind you.
TRUST ME when I say U R special the strength is within you….you only have to search for it and your friends are always with you, you only have to realize it.
Most importantly BELIEVE IN YOURSELF….because only if U do…will the world follow.

With lotsa love

ME

I hope to ear from you soon and THANK YOU for these beautiful words

Silent Apathetic World

I am shocked with the world's silence regarding Israel-Palestine conflict. Where is the United Nations. Why is there no intervention by other countries. Sometimes I feel we are not concern. Why are we silient when innocent civilians suffer and die. Where is the Peace talk? and Where are the so called world leaders ?

Apathetic World

You can bomb another state,
You can kill the human race,
You can trivialize terror events,
You can mock at others tribulations,
But we are not concern….

You cannot feel the human pain,
You cannot ear people’s howling,
You cannot see the blood flowing,
You cannot smell the poisonous gases,
But we are not concern…

You call yourself a world leader,
Showing no concern for the others.
But it’s the others, who are going to die,
When you cut your triumph cake
And say good bye

The OBAMA EFFECT

Its OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA everywhere. The first African American president of United States of America. The 44th president of United States is not just a good orator but also an inspiring leader. He is an icon for the youth of the world. A powerful figure displaying honesty, humbleness, love and hard work. I am impressed by his faith and belief in himself. His determination to serve America and stick to its ideals. His inclusive policy and motto of “YES WE CAN” is all powerful in itself. In his inauguration speech he confidently says “let us pick ourselves and dust ourselves and remake America. These words reflect a new beginning. A start that will change the face of world politics. His commitment to leave Iraq to its people and restore peace in Afghanistan with improve the tainted American image. Another of his impressive statement was his message to the leaders who think they are being destroyed by the west “people will judge you on what you built and not on what you destroy”. How true are these words. These are the words of a rational leader. The voice of the youth, development, prosperity, unbiased attitude and love. Who can be more inspiring than him? I hope he meets all the expectations.Truely a WORLD LEADER.

Solitude

oh solitude! how much i loathe you.
The empty space with no sound of human race.
The crawling time with no party to rhyme.
I wish i could leave you oh solitude.

You leave a turmoiled mind.
With a destroyed concept.
No peace. No calm.
Leaving the agitated self to harm.

Your greatness I can not see,
since I am searching for a reason to flee.
But i know its only for sometime,
Soon our friendship has to die.

Perplexed

I dont know what makes me cry.
I dont know why my emotions run high.
I may seem to be an impulsive stunner,
but i am nothing just a confused dummer.

I know you are frustrated with my delicate extravagance,
My unreasoned weeping and my infringed seeping.

I wish i could explain you my baffled thoughts,
I dont want to posses you, just want to share your prized time.
A few cherished moments that I want to share,
Giving my unconditional presence because I care.

You want to share my prize with your companions,'
When I linger for you the whole day.
What about my toiled crusines and agravated wounds?
Who will heal them if not you.
